Shaped by a handmade shoe heritage, the talented visionary grew up working in her family shoe factory near Wellington. Cushla is a rare breed in today’s footwear industry as she still hand-sketches every design and is involved in day-to-day operations. Her numerous achievements include being president of the NZ Footwear Industry Assn, winning a grant from NZTE, being a finalist in the New Zealand Young Entrepreneur of the Year and being asked to judge at a variety of Fashion events ensuring she is always giving back where she can.
Minx was established in 2000 and since then the home grown name with a global presence has grown exponentially to include accessories such as jewellery, bags, scarves and more recently the addition of C.REED the clothing label – realising a long held dream of Cushla’s to dress women head to toe.
